Full Day # 4

Amazingly things just keep expanding in the life of our vacation… both for good and bad.  Yesterday I found out that through some errors involved in communication with our insurance agent, we don’t have collision on our policy.  Our car insurance has been an uphill battle for the last year or so, quite unreasonably so.  This means we are responsible for paying for all repairs to our vehicle.  Sounds fun right?  But, how good is God?  My wife and I have such a great feeling of peace.  We aren’t allowing this to in any way affect the fun that we are having on this trip, not even the ticks we just discovered on us last night.

Today we went out to breaky in the town and then went spooking on her brother’s old property.  We hiked through God’s magnificent creation, exploring and finding all kinds of evidence of Mycelium, deer, and other creatures.  Our hiked ended at a nice medium sized lake, or large pond where we went canoeing for a while.  Great fun.  From there we came home and rested then went out to eat again at a great little restaurant.  It’s amazing to see how simple these people live.  We have such hectic lives that we often don’t realize that its okay to live more than five minutes from a shopping mall or Walmart.  This trip is really teaching me to slow down a bit and enjoy what God created for us.

Today is going to be a great day.  We are going to visit Jay and Katrina in Moscow, PA.  Leaving here shortly, can’t wait!

Psalm 19

For the director of music. A psalm of David.

1 The heavens declare the glory of God;
the skies proclaim the work of his hands.

2 Day after day they pour forth speech;
night after night they display knowledge.

3 There is no speech or language
where their voice is not heard.

4 Their voice  goes out into all the earth,
their words to the ends of the world.
In the heavens he has pitched a tent for the sun,

5 which is like a bridegroom coming forth from his pavilion,
like a champion rejoicing to run his course.

6 It rises at one end of the heavens
and makes its circuit to the other;
nothing is hidden from its heat.
